How much does an energy label cost?
The price of an energy label depends on the type of home and the method. These are our rates and the factors behind them.
A home energy label at Hasibo costs €330 for an apartment, €370 for a terraced or corner house and €450 for a detached house (basic method, including VAT). With the more accurate detailed method it is €425, €475 or €550. The price mainly depends on the type and size of the home and the chosen method.

What determines the price?
- Type and size: a detached house has more facades, roof and installations to record than an apartment.
- Method: the detailed method takes more measurements and calculation than the basic method.
- Available documentation: drawings and insulation invoices speed up the inspection and often improve the label.
Why does a label cost more than it used to?
Until 2021 an owner could request a 'simplified energy label' online. Since 1 January 2021 the label is determined under NTA 8800 and a physical inspection by a certified adviser is mandatory. That makes the label more accurate, but also more labour-intensive.
Earning the label back
A good label makes a home more attractive to buyers and tenants. For landlords the label also counts in the WWS points calculation: labels E, F and G cost 4, 9 and 15 points. See also improve your energy label.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we are asked most about this topic.
1. Is there a subsidy for an energy label?
For private owners there is no national subsidy for the label itself. HOAs can get SVVE subsidy for sustainability advice; see HOA sustainability advice.
2. Can I request an energy label myself?
No. Since 2021 a certified adviser must inspect the home on site and register the label in EP-Online.
