How long is an energy label valid?
The validity period, how to check it and when a new label still makes sense.
A Dutch energy label is valid for 10 years from the registration date, regardless of how often the home changes owner in that period. Labels registered before 1 January 2021 (the switch to NTA 8800) or before 29 May 2026 (the new label design) also remain valid until the end of those 10 years.
