Amersfoort homes and their energy labels

Historic centre: listed buildings and wall houses. Since May 2026 monuments also need a label when sold or rented out.
Pre-war districts such as Soesterkwartier and Bergkwartier: characteristic homes where insulation can make a big difference.
1970s–1990s districts such as Schothorst, Kattenbroek and Nieuwland: often partly insulated already; a new label can turn out better after improvements.
Vathorst and other new builds: usually high labels, registered at completion.

Monuments

Since 29 May 2026 an energy label is also mandatory when selling or renting out national, provincial and municipal monuments. Owners of listed buildings that used to be exempt now also need a valid label.
